“The episodes are all so interesting, I just wish that on the gorgeous sound escape ones (if you really must have ads), make them quieter ones & more applicable to nature & calm rather than noisy ones about phones, M&Ms etc - they really spoil Hannah’s beautiful episodes”

“As someone who’s looking to emigrate to Britain from America in the not too distant future with my Scottish wife, I have been really pleased to learn more about the British countryside. I absolutely love the Plodcast, and I hope you bring back the Plodcast chats at the end (I absolutely love...”Read full review »

“I’m an avid podcast listener- and I must say that the Countryfile series is one of the very best I’ve ever heard. How rare it is to hear a show like this amid the daily clamour of social media offerings that screech at us through the airways... Fergus Collins and his team do an absolutely amazing...”Read full review »

“Wonderful podcast, very enjoyable and informative. Only gripe I have is the loud Canon Camera advertisement at the beginning of the soundscapes pieces.
Does BBC need to run adverts? 😔”
“Really enjoyed listening as have recently found this podcast but the peace I enjoyed whilst listening was abruptly ended with adverts that are noticeably louder at the end. Really surprised and disappointed that this is the set up, especially as I was drifting off to sleep.”

“This is an adapted version of/blatant rip off of a question from another podcast. That being said however, here it is - if you could pick one thing to emerge from a chrysalis as, what would it be? Preferably something previously featured on the plodcast?”

“This is the soothing background I need to have a relaxing day in my home office. No offensive jokes, no yelling, no terrible news, just the sounds of nature and calm British voices. I love this.
Can you get Monty Don as a guest?!”

“I don’t mind the ads at the beginning but after listening to the sound escape and Hannah saying I hope you are feeling relaxed now then comes the ad jolting you back to reality and they are never relaxing easy listening ads even always loud. I do enjoy the sound escapes apart from this so thank you.”

“Just like a pair of the best walking boots this podcast just gets better and better with age. The plodcast team beautifully bring the countryside to life, be it the nature, the landscape or the history. The thought that goes into choosing the subject matter and how best to present it, is obvious....”Read full review »

“Such a wonderful, transportive podcast the perfect beginning or end to any day....mostly. I don’t know why they leave in the gulps and mouth clacking. The mics pick up stuff you just wouldn’t hear even in close conversation, it’s so distracting. Worst episode is 102, eeesh! If they could fix this...”Read full review »

“I’m a newcomer to this podcast and started with episode 88 (Kevin Parr’s commentary of his day spent fishing in Dorset). It was more than a podcast; it was a meditation.
