Series 5 absolutely ruined it
The new format completely killed the BBC-worthy nature documentary-style storytelling that had me listening in awe from the very beginning. It used to take me on amazing and surprising explorations and adventures. Yet I won’t continue listening to this favourite podcast of mine. Judging from the other recent reviews, seems like you really disappointed your greatest fans: It has turned into a lame American-audience-pleasing chit-chat. Babbling about how you love nature and walking around the park is just not what your subscribers are waiting for. (On a side-note: Can you even be called a zoologist if you are surprised spiders eat each other?) Not saying the content is particularly bad, but the format is just extremely disappointing for fans of the previous 4 series.

Unbelievably well produced, with interesting content. The first two episodes are pure escapism, like half-hour dreams. Instantly one of my must-listen podcasts and I can’t wait for the next one. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
