I’ve only listened to two episodes so far but I’m wondering if Sophie is just there to be rude? She hasn’t contributed anything except mean comments. I would love to hear her contribute more to the topic. She probably has good things to say. Maybe the other hosts can help bring her in? Otherwise...Read full review »

This is a dogmatic, rabid, leftist propaganda machine. Tune in to listen to a podcast about Ceausescu and get bombarded with how “right wing historians” think Vlad Dracul was a shield against the Muslims and that Matt Walsh would like to murder poor people. Come on now. Why can’t you just give...Read full review »

If they cut out the useless banter they might bring this podcast in at under an hour instead of the bloated 1 ½ to 2 hrs of their regular podcasts. The content is intriguing enough but there’s sooooo much filler. Don’t waste your time on this ‘honor students in a basement high on Pepsi’ podcast.

Prime example of “not everyone should have a podcast” Titles sound good but they start talking and get super annoying. Jokes are not funny and I don’t like their format. Doing lectures at the library is better suited for them.

Love the content and premise of the show. It is well researched and presented in a very interesting way. I love the dark humor and running jokes. HOWEVER, editing could be better (agree with other reviews about repeated and missing audio) and some guests aren’t wonderful. Some ramble and get too...Read full review »

I appreciate anything that can help me think about some thing in a different way and Robert is incredibly smart. He makes great points and they encourage me to think not only about this issue at hand but how it relates to today.

Consistently brilliant podcast. I never miss an episode.

So much time wasting and shouting in this show is inherently problematic with the format. Aggressive ads would make it deeply unpleasant regardless of content. Going after some of the worst people in history for their disabilities seems to be missing the point by way too far to be useful. There...Read full review »

There’s too many ads… like every ad break I’m skipping promo for five different podcasts. Whats the point of listening when I’m constantly skipping ads and losing focus on what’s happening? The female host really needs a better microphone as it just sounds like poor quality which makes it even...Read full review »

This show is great but Sophie needs to just shut up And figure out how to participate in a conversation without interrupting someone else. It honestly feels like she has zero social awareness and has this inner voice constantly shouting at her about how clever she is and everyone else needs to...Read full review »

I feel like this podcast was designed to hook me. I listened to the 6 part Kissinger masterpiece, and haven’t been able to stop since. My only gripe is that from time to time, the editing is some of the worst I have EVER heard. It’s legitimately terrible with many episodes having guests who...Read full review »

I love that Sophie is chiming in more now! I do wish that the complications could go onto their own feed. Having two shows in one stream, when I'm already getting one from another stream is just sort of a pain to manage. Please consider making it its own show so the weekly recaps have their...Read full review »

Definitely listen to the Twilight Zone movie episode…absolutely horrible and will make you look at Hollywood’s “golden” directors in a whole different light.

I’ve been an avid listeners since this podcast first aired. It’s been my go to as soon as a new episode comes out. In a bored state I looked at the reviews for the first time and it’s almost like there’s a club that was formed out of spite for Sophie. The blatant bashing is really weird....Read full review »

The host is well spoken and offers good insight. However, whenever the girl (is it Sophie?) opens her mouth it completely highlights the difference in brain cell quantity between the two. She offers nothing of value to this podcast and every time she speaks it feels like we are being spoken to by...Read full review »

More biased woke people who think they’re way funnier than they actually are. I can’t even make it through the dr phil episode, just lots of talking about nothing not to mention how many times they say grifter and go off topic. It’s just boring with an air of superiority that’s very off putting.

Only in 2022 wld anyone on a podcast say a William Friedkin movie set needed to have been ‘safe’ instead of striving for realism. What a bunch of wimps.

Some people who hate hearing a woman talk disagree but Sophie is great, the entire pod is fascinating, Robert is hilarious and curious about the interesting subjects he explores. If you don’t mind women speaking you will enjoy this podcast!

I really like Robert and have learned a lot from this show. The only issue I have is that I’ve increasingly noticed a tic that Robert has where he clears his stuffy nose by blowing out through it. It’s not bothering me enough to quit listening yet, but I fear it may eventually.

While most of the content is really good, the regular interruptions by the producer are off putting. They rarely add anything of substance to the conversation. The guy in this is excellent - takes a nuanced view, well-informed. Interesting things to say. But he has a cohost who likes to spew anti-women vitriol… is this really the place for that? Man, this dude is so far gone. Simping from the word go. Basically just anyone who isn’t a radical leftist gets an episode. It’s far too cringe to get through. And what’s with this new guest?? I tried to like this as I believe there is some good content here but the hosts continual laughter at each other ruins the listening experience. In one episode, a six minute period contained less than one minute of content as the hosts tried to out-humour each other. Deleted all episodes after this.

You guys got me with the Kissinger miniseries and ive been hooked to your pod ever since. There’s a limitless supply of historical & present day bastards that I reckon this show will never end. From a content perspective, this show is great. Funny delivery and interesting subject matter keep us hooked. Informative overall and has the potential to be a great podcast but there is a lot of filler with opinions, jokes that aren’t really funny, and political commentary. I’m fascinated by the topics presented here, but the host and his guests spend WAY too much time yammering on about nothing, instead of getting to the point. This is well written and the info is great! The only issue I consistently have and I sometimes have to turn it off….Sophie. She is literally like a mom/buzz kill. Talks over everyone and isn’t funny or interesting. Frankly she’s just irritating. Sorry, but I gotta call it like I see it.
