BEMA Discipleship
The BEMA Podcast
The BEMA Podcast is a walk-through of the context of the Bible and the Text itself, as well as surrounding history. We deconstruct our common readings of the Bible and attempt to reconstruct them through the lens of historical context. The main body of work is contained in Seasons 1–5, and we encourage you to start with episode 0 and continue in order through episode 204. BEMA Discipleship is a ministry of Impact Campus Ministries.

Suppositions
This podcast has lots of historical and cultural information which is very interesting. Marty’s suppositions are thin, though. Several times I found myself thinking “how in the heck did he come to that conclusion?!” His suppositions detracts more than they give.

A neighbor introduced me to BEMA and I’ve been blown away by the genius (and fun!) of Marty and Brent. It has completely changed my understanding of the Old Testament as well as dramatically enhanced my belief in Jesus and God’s Story. START WITH EPISODE ZERO. :) Thank you and God bless!

Great content; bad intro song
This is such a fantastic podcast that has helped me dig deeper into historical and cultural contexts of the Bible, but please…get a new intro song. Is Marty a Creed fan? Or Nickelback? Maybe that explains the song choice.
