Good Stuff
I love this podcast. It has taught me to dig deeper and ask more questions. I like how they give potential insights into topics that many might be hesitant to discuss. They lay the options and theories out for the listeners, usually explain which theory makes the most sense to them, and leaves the rest up to the listener to wrestle with and decide for themselves. I think it’s important to remember that just because they say it or theorize something, doesn’t mean it’s true or that they even agree with it 100%. I believe they are simply sharing information and trying to bring the knowledge they’ve learned to our attention to help us better wrestle with different parts of scripture. I also see that there are some critiques about using material from certain pastors / teachers. Just because someone uses a source from a teacher, doesn’t mean they agree 100% with everything that teacher says or does. Sometimes, someone we don’t align with, may have a really great message. I believe in all of these things, it’s good to have an open hand and a discerning spirit. I really appreciate all the information the BEMA podcast brings to light. It has helped me think about things I never would have in the past. My faith has grown as I have been challenged to dig deeper.

This show has transformed how I read the Bible. I have such hunger now to read and understand God’s word front to back.
