My dad was a pastor growing up. I knew the books of the Bible, and the stories in them. I knew of baptism and the Ten Commandments and how the Earth was made. I knew of grace and Jesus’s resurrection. I know that I was saved, despite a depth to knowing what “saved” meant. My salvation has not wavered, as light overcomes the dark and the dark will never overcome the light. However, I grew up with a very black and white view of the Bible, as most westerners do. Even those who think they didn’t grow up with a black and white interpretation of the Bible, I believe, should listen to this podcast. Episode 0-onward. The Old Testament has color for me now. My understanding of who God is, and his character had color for me before... but now each color has saturation and different shades. The depth of wisdom and understanding that this podcast can provide for you, as you learn to study the Bible agains, is truly a humbling experience. But an experience you will not forget.

Best thing I’ve read or listened to about the Bible in years. Goes so much deeper into important context that has so much of an impact.
