Too much navel gazing
I really love Elizabeth Day’s podcast ‘How to Fail’, and I really enjoyed Emma Reed Turret’s self-help book ‘Please Yourself’, so I had thought I’d love this podcast. But the content is a bit thin. The hosts excavate pretty minor experiences and try to wring some ‘meaning’ out of them a little too often. Reed Turrel is also quite depressing to listen to; she seems to dislike an extraordinary number of things and discusses why in minute detail. Again, I don’t know if this is because of the aforementioned content issue, or if she is just really into dissecting things the majority of people wouldn’t worry about in the slightest. But it’s a bit of a drag to listen to, regardless.

More reviews of Friendship Therapy
The highlight of my week and a commute favourite. Can’t believe how much I relate to these conversations. Every episode so far has hit the nail on the head. Validates how I feel, explains the why and gives some ideas for doing things differently to stay true to yourself.
