“It’s such a great concept for a show, but if all three hosts are going to share the same opinion every week it seems like a pretty pointless exercise. Maybe guests from a variety of tastes would help liven things up. There also seems to be a hefty dose of snobbery to some of the movies so far — these are Best Picture winners so are generally going to be more mainstream, ‘worthy’ type affairs. Probably best to get over that sooner rather than later or the rest of the episodes will really start to drag. Maybe Palme d’Or winners would’ve been a more fitting challenge for their tastes.”
