Agree with others, content of podcast is good. It’s interesting, however, the lengthy and numerous ads completely ruin this podcast. Listened to one episode and doubtful I’ll continue. That’s completely excessive and will not recommend.

Season 2 is wayyyyy better than season 1, it’s worth the listen. Season 1 had a bit of victim shaming from the wife that was at times hard to listen to
em2456 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/01/23
Yes the ads are very distracting and yes the production feels cheesy with the dramatic background music but I had to stop listening and unfollow when the hosts told the wife that she is just as much of a victim as the 15 YEAR OLD girl that was assaulted by her teacher. Do not give this podcast a...Read full review »

Pro tip- wait until all of the episodes have released before you start the 2nd season so you can binge all of the episodes on the 3 day trial. Waiting for the rest…

I was cautious going into this when In the first Episode she referred to victim as an affair partner. But I’m glad I stuck it out. Listening to the call between Jennifer and Spencer showed just how delusional he is and I’m curious how he covered it all those years. I also can’t help but wonder...Read full review »

Meh
Production wise this podcast is not bad. Story wise: First thing, I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks it’s disgusting to hear Jennifer refer to her ex-husband as “Spence”. I didn’t see any other comments mention that the host did it as well but she did. So disgusting. Hearing Jennifer...Read full review »

The entire situation was fascinating and heart wrenching. This predator left a long path of destruction behind him: his wife, the teenaged girl and endless affairs with adult women. I thought we would hear about his background, his first wife and family .. where are they in all of this and the...Read full review »

It is too bad that the authors of this podcast didn’t cared more about the message getting out there, than they do for hooking people in and then advising the listener that if they want the full story, they’re making you pay for it. Nope, not happening.

This was such a gripping story and I had to binge it because I needed to hear the whole story! Ashley has such a great style and delivery! Jenifer was such an empathic, kind person, that I was truly inspired. I know I would not have handled the interview with the wine bar friend with as much...Read full review »

The show sounds well made but after ten minutes I needed to turn off. Please include a trigger warning for parents of young children or victims of abuse.

Interesting stories and I do understand why people are complaining about the volume of ads but BY FAR the most annoying thing is that almost everyone speaking overuses the word AND and stretches it out in that annoying American way aayyaaaand then this aaayaaaand then that . Listener. Beware do not start this podcast, unless you want to pay to hear the conclusion. you can listen to the first couple episodes for free and then they have you chasing the carrot to get the rest. Hence you’re the donkey it’s the carrot.

The writing is basic, and the pacing is terrible. I couldn’t even make it through a full episode. What a waste of time.

Yes, there are too many ads and it is distracting. More importantly, the season one and two stories are so important for all of us to be educated about. Thank you to Jen and Ashley for your courage in sharing your experiences.

Season 1: The adult mistress (friend ) made me want to smash my phone. Saying she was groomed and she felt ugly and even compared her situation as a consenting adult to that of the 15 year old child victim. She was a consenting adult. She made the discussion to have sex with her friend’s husband...Read full review »

As someone who is a survivor and worked with survivors of sexual assault, I found this podcast to be a breath of fresh air. That may sound ridiculous considering the trauma involved to the victims. However, talking about what happened openly can be healing for other victims and educational for...Read full review »

This new season is interesting so far. I cannot find any discussions online about it and I have a comment. What is the accent Ashley has where every time she says “something” or “anything” she instead says “somethink” with a K sound at the end? “Anythink.” It’s making me cringe every single time....Read full review »

I have found season 1 and now season 2 absolutely captivating. The recipe the producers use in putting together the story is so enthralling it feels like a book you can’t put down.
Trixie Cochise via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/25/23
I tried to listen to the first episode of season 2 twice. Too painful. Not the story, although I am sure this is a painful one for the victims and those around. But podcast has wise, the narrators delivery, especially that of Ms Faison, is way too slow and tedious.

WAY too much time wasted on the repetitive commercials. It’s disruptive and takes away from the intensity of the dialogue.

The core emphasis of the podcast is great. It explores trauma through uncomfortable conversations that many people would avoid. Good podcast but the ads are so annoying. I listen to lots of podcasts and none have as many ads as this one.

Well made and interesting podcast. But, my god, the ad breaks—-I listen to a LOT of podcasts and this one often feels like more ad break than actual content, which becomes distracting.

I started listening to this podcast, I found it very interesting. But then all the women that had an affair with this guy started being made out ti be victims. First time subscriber to this podcast. I liked the host and the people who are telling their story. Even though it’s hard to hear. I think it’s very brave!!
americanfemale via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/22/23
I really enjoyed listening to Season 1, now starting on Season 2. I am struggling with accepting those women as victims though. The 15 year old was well and truly the biggest victim in this story. The other women were adults, most probably married, who chose to sleep with a married man.

I wasn’t sure when it first started how I would enjoy it. I think the podcast is about more than the story of his crimes. It’s about understanding how these things start. There was sexual assault with a child and every episode routes back to Jennifer being “the”victim. We get it that your husband lived a double life, but you can stop making this all about you.
