“I do like this podcast and it is appointment listening; however, there is plenty of fluff that could be cleaned up. First off, I'm not a huge Kelly Dixon fan. Her voice is grating and her takes ramble and don't make sense at times. She does her best to keep the podcast focused and on track but the show meanders aimlessly at times.
Second, Vince has actually pointed this out himself, but everyone that works on the show is wonderful and amazing. It's to the point that I can't even listen to them talk about their crew. It's all one note; everyone is the best; all actors and writers and directors should have cases full of awards. I need a little spicy with my sweet, and this is waaaaayyy too sweet.
Third, I think they'd do better to throw away the attempt to go through the show chronologically. Invariably, they spend half the show at the front of the episode and then must cram in the rest. I would have Kelly create a bullet list of 5 or so highlights of the episode and then rif on them. Screw going scene by scene. There's plenty of recap podcasts out there. This one should be strictly about the inside info we would not know otherwise.”Read full review »
