“Jill has a great, relaxed style of interviewing her well-informed guests. She makes it fun (and even makes fun of herself). I started listening because I really like her appearances on CBS This Morning, but she is a little more informal on the podcast than on TV -- almost a little too silly sometimes. The information on the show is great, however. I always learn new & important strategies, techniques and terms. I took off one star because Jill espouses the virtue of working with a fiduciary, but will often plug podcast-sponsor Betterment during call-in segments. The 90-second Betterment commerical that she reads in the middle of the show is fine with me, but when she works Betterment into financial planning advice it gives the appearance that she is motivated by sponsor dollars, rather than being a fiduciary role model. She does make the point that Betterment is a fiduciary, but a fiduciary (Jill) mentioning in conversation a fiduciary (Betterment) that buys advertising time feels like a conflict of interest. I'd say stick to the 90-second commercial and keep the conversations "ad-free."”Read full review »
