Great YouTube channel, disappointing podcast
I am a fan of the Youtube channel “Lessons from the Screenplay”, but I couldn’t listen to this podcast (the Shaun of the Dead episode) for more than 10 minutes. Here there are 4 hosts (too many!), one of them only saw the movie for the first time a few days ago, and for ten minutes they talked about how they didn’t like the movie, because “it is gross humor, not my taste”. Well, then don’t talk about it! I am not hear because I am curious about a stranger’s personal taste. The LftS videos, Art of the Score podcast and other good channels help us appreciate cinema by highlighting technical or narrative strengths &weaknesses of movies. They don’t talk about the host’s personal taste. This was unfortunately a waste of time.

A fantastic group of conversations about the writing processes of film. Michael knows what he’s talking about and it’s great to absorb it all

They have so much to share! It’s like a LFTS buffet...Read full review »
