STRESS: The Good, the Bad and the 'How' to get the Elephant out of the Room
Listen now
Description
The Health and Wellbeing at Work report from the CIPD, published in September, identified stress as continuing to be one of the main causes of absence.  More specifically, high workloads are still cited as the main cause of stress-related absence.  It just goes to show that the efforts to reverse this trend over recent years appear not to be having the desired impact.  Why is that? That's an important question because we know the correlation between wellbeing, stress, and employee engagement.  In this episode of the podcast, we get to grips with stress... ✅ what it is ✅ why it's still such a problem ✅ what to do ✅ and, strategies that we know make a difference. Amantha King and I pride ourselves on being down-to-earth, having sensible and relatable conversations, and sharing ideas that are straight forward. We get beyond stats and judgement, and into what organisations should be doing to support their workforce.  And, we share our awesome resource that makes up part of The Resilience Collective 👏. This is available to freely download, along with additional tools to support your critical conversations, tackle stressors, and give you a greater sense of control over your feelings of stress. Listen to what we have to say or watch the video, and then check out the practical resources. Get yourself and your colleagues armed with what you need to know to not only mark #NationalStressAwarenessDay on 2nd November, but to be part of the movement that achieves positive change.
