“Great episode and overview of a wonderful place…I have done, and continue to do, lots of trail work in the burn scars there, and one conversation that was missing is that the FS is allowing the trails to completely disappear to the point of disintegrating access. There is a preservationist side of the agency that wants this, and the Gila burn scars will oblige unless dealt with more assertively. Access is disappearing there, and there aren’t near as many trails as the maps show.”
