One of my absolute favorites
I love a lot about Are We Alone. The mix of topics is fascinating, because the subject matter (the search for extraterrestrial intelligence) raises so many questions. What is life? Under what conditions can it survive, or thrive? What is intelligence? And what about us, as a ready-to-hand example of intelligent life that has actually evolved in the history of the universe? The show explores these and many other topics, sometimes directly related to the work of SETI and sometimes just themes suggested by it. The monthly "skeptic check" adds an interesting note as well. Yes, you have to be prepared to put up with some pretty attrocious puns from Seth, and the occasional cheesy set-up. But the hosts know when they're beeing cheesy and have fun with it. All in all, unless you're pun-phobic, I can't recommend this podcast highly enough.Read full review »

The Are We Alone podcast is consistently excellent. Each podcast is well produced and a joy to listen to. Are We Alone stands head and sholders above every other pod cast that I have listened to.
