“Yes the earlier episodes have commercials in them, not cool, but newer ones (all of 2006 maybe?) have them edited out!
The show covers a great gamut of interesting science topics without getting too technical or humdrum. Seth, the host, is easy to listen to and quite clever. No episode lacks food for thought or interesting moral questions. This is "cool" science.
I listen to these on my daily commute and I'm finally all caught up. Every episode is a treasure, and some of them I've even saved for replaying later because they were so interesting. Probably my favorites are "The Singularity" November 27, 2005, "Life: Chapter 1" November 13, 2005, "Radical Evolution" 9/13/2005, and "Parallel Universes" 1/22/2005, so if you want to "try it out" maybe start with one of those first, or just scan the list to find a topic that sounds interesting to you.”Read full review »

Entertaining hosts and cutting edge science is brought together in this wonderful...”Read full review »

“Like someone else said, the goofball act doesn't work well. And they hardly ever talk about his specialty, SETI. Gets boring after awhile.”Read full review »
