Listening to Cal you can’t help but recognize that he’s fascinated by people. He’s genuine and sincere. He loves to find what makes a person unique. Then, he’s able to communicate that in a way that is almost ethereal. I find myself being transported and being able to see the stories and...Read full review »

The proper name for the country is Ukraine. “The Ukraine” is the name Russia uses for the country as a way to feign control. Do better.

I’m an intern resident physician. Just started a podcast called Medicine Redefined to tackle the broken healthcare system. I’m with Cal 100000%. It’s a shame docs go through these mental health issues and we need avenues and even better ways of practicing.

Cal, I’m on your team! Have been listening to you speak about the horror show that is our health care system. I have been a preventive healthcare activist for 25 years. Sadly, in my bubble I see that most people see exercise and food as entertainment. Anyway, I’m all in and want to help with...Read full review »

I discovered Cal through Tim Ferriss’s podcast. He told some great stories in a captivating way. What an amazing life he’s had but listening to him you’d think he’s just getting started. When I found out he had his own podcast I had to check it out! ... and I was not disappointed at all. Cal is...Read full review »

I first heard tell his stories on Tim Ferriss’s podcast. He’s an amazing storyteller. In this podcast, he doesn’t do as much storytelling (unfortunately), but his massive curiosity brings out the best in his guests and makes for fun listening.

Cal teaches the most important life skill: to be curious and to ask questions that get to the heart. The result is powerful insights in every episode. Podcasts come and go for me but this one remains, and there are many people and stories I won’t forget. Cheers!

Cal is a master interviewer, genuinely curious, and extremely relatable in his approach to these conversations. He brings the best out of his guests, even when I’ve heard them interviewed numerous other times, and he has a knack for asking the unobvious question. I’ve learned so much.

Cal is like Oprah in the sense that he sniffs the true story and asks the hard, direct questions so that we, as listeners, benefit from an intimate, deep conversation ... yet Cal is kind and never breaks rapport. I love listening to Big Questions! Cal has a way of interviewing that draws me in like very few others do. My only reason for giving 4 out of 5 is that some episodes are not uploaded properly. The Dandapani episode is an example of that. It would have been a great episode but it’s been cut off!

Cal is gentle, sweet and funny. His questions are sincere and every episode leaves me feeling inspired, a bit more wise and very loved. He has an amazing range of guests that share their incredible heart felt stories. Highly recommend!

Pretty good guests and interviews. Hard to listen to his fake sounding annunciations and fake sounding enthusiasm in the introductions. Just talk normal.

Cal, you are such a master. The Simon Sinek interview was amazing. With the best of intentions, what happened to your great sound? doing interviews in the co working space while a good idea, is horribe for sound (critical for podcasters). I’m not quite sure how I stumbled across Big Questions. But I’m glad I did. From the first episode I listened to (with Larry King) I was drawn to Cal’s style of interviewing and storytelling. He will involve you with the interview, entertaining you and often making you think. Give him a listen
