“Update 1/21/24: ❕❕Black, Brown, and Indigenous Birthworkers BEWARE ❕❕ Every episode is an ad/funnel for the Birthworker Community and Kyleigh’s other paid offers. For $75 a month, Kyleigh markets a community where you get round-the-clock feedback from successful, supportive, like-minded birthworkers. Most of the people in the community are great, but there has been a recent divide orchestrated by the other side of Kyleigh that you won’t meet on this podcast and that many of her students didn’t know existed. Kyleigh preaches that people should stand in their truth, share their experiences, and have radical responsibility. She built her brand on autonomy (@theautonomymommy) and promoted informed consent. It is in that spirit of autonomy and informed consent that I share with you the real Kyleigh Banks that most of you have had the pleasure of not meeting. I hope that with my review, many of you will never have to see this side of her and that BIPOC birthworkers (and those who fiercely believe in inclusion, equity, diversity, and justice) can steer clear of the inevitable harm that Kyleigh will cause. Recently, I refused to keep quiet about the unjust firing of one of her employees for making a post supporting a free Palestine. Despite her being a birthworker, I never expected Kyleigh to post about the genocide in the Gaza Strip. She has shared publicly and privately that she is Israeli, and she’s shared on this podcast about her family's travels to the stolen land. She proudly dons a Jewish Agency for Israel sweater in some of her training videos. For context, the group was established in 1929 as the operative branch of the World Zionist Organization. There are just some people who you know are not going to call for a ceasefire. 😩. When other BIPOC community members and I explained how Kyleigh firing the mindset coach for posting about a free Palestine was problematic, she was dismissive. When we told Kyleigh it made us feel uneasy and like we were not welcome in the Birthworker Community she didn’t seem to care. Kyleigh was dismissive of our concerns and censored ours and other community members’ voices. She maintains that because the post made an unnamed number of members in our community feel unsafe, the coach had to be removed. Truthfully, I do not believe that there were any current students or community members who brought up these concerns. What is more plausible? Two former students who commented on the coach’s private Instagram post and are friends of Kyleigh‘s, shared their disdain for the post, using language that shared views heavily aligned with Zionist ideology. My sincerest belief is that Kyleigh was displeased that one of her employees was speaking out against the genocide that her beloved country was responsible for. In a triggered space, she fired her employee. Ultimately, sharing our truth and experiences with the other side of Kyleigh lead to three BIPOC members being forcibly removed from the paid community. I am one of them. Interestingly enough, there were white birthworkers who acted as our accomplices standing against the injustice. Kyleigh did not remove them from the community. I am thankful for each of them, AND their existence in the community only further speaks to Kyleigh‘s values or lack thereof. The other side of Kyleigh is a self-righteous narcissist who is emotionally abusive, lacks integrity, lacks accountability, has poor communication skills, ineffectively listens, ineffectively manages conflict, and insights a culture of divisiveness in her community. Instead of focusing on building a reparative space where healing can happen, she has dug her heels into being corporate, confrontational, unwilling to collaborate, and lacking compassion, ESPECIALLY for the BIPOC community that she is so happy to take money from. If the genocide in Gaza has taught us anything, it is that Zionism is the most dangerous form of racism. I will not outwardly call Kyleigh racist for her treatment of me and other Black, Brown, and Indigenous birthworkers in her community. I will not outwardly call Kyleigh racist for identifying as a proud Israeli who wears her Zionist gear with pride. I will not outwardly call Kyleigh racist for cowering away from topics about the injustice in Gaza under the guise of centering “nuance.” Instead, I will ask you, “What do Kyleigh’s recent actions, and maybe those that you were too afraid to call out before, say about who she is and what she stands for? Once you find your answer, ask yourself, “How many more people should be subjected to her harm?” #FreePalestine”Read full review »

“I get very excited by all the things to be learned online and in books, and after listening to the first several podcasts I feel like so many of my scattered thoughts/goals are topics here. It feels like a coffee date with a fellow birth worker who can pump me up. Makes this an easy and FREE way...”Read full review »

“I’m on a journey to find my calling in life and Kyleigh is a fundamental part of that.
While I was struggling to find my voice in pregnancy, I found her Instagram page and I was hooked! I took her birth course and I was so loved the way she shared knowledge and confidence in birth.
I was not...”Read full review »
