I see you guys have done a review on Best Man: Final Chapters as a whole. Would you be open to reviewing other shows like Insecure or Lovecraft Country? Would love to get your take on those

I love this podcast. Insightful, funny, and I’ve found someone who doesn’t like Morris Chestnut, like me.

I found this entertaining until you all got off topic. Way too much laughing for me. The kicker was calling a black woman a monkey several times. I’m a black man, and I think that was really lame. Y’all all sound like corny nerds who want to sound cool, and you can do that with disparaging a...Read full review »

THANK GOD for TIARA! Listening to some of the older episodes was incredibly painful. They are very misogynistic. I know Black men like to pretend like they don’t have any male privilege, but this podcast highlights it SO MUCH. Especially the older episodes. That guy Rob? Omg NEVER IN LIFE bring...Read full review »

I listen to a ton of movie podcasts so believe me when I say Black on Black Cinema is one of the better ones. Beyond the general value of the black point-of-view on cinema, the podcast offers the following: - Zero fat at the beginning. The the hosts jump right into the movie without the bells...Read full review »

Love the hosts (kinda miss Terrence). YAY T’ara!! The Black Panther movie introduced me to this podcast and I’ve been hooked to this and the others ever since. Listening to their convo sounds like me and my friends, I LOVE IT.

The host Jay made really misogynistic remarks about a Black woman on the most recent episode. The host Jay referred to a Black women as a “c**n”. That word is racist and should never be used by anyone towards Black people of any gender. Newsflash: you don’t have a right to speak on any Black...Read full review »

I’m a white man who hasn’t seen many of the films these gentlemen review- they give such a thorough recap that I feel like I’ve seen it. I love the critical analysis, and I feel like I learn something. I love even more their exasperation over some of the crazier elements of the film they’re...Read full review »

This podcast is like listening in on a conversation in a black barbershop. The guys are funny and insightful. I would love for them to review the Insecure series. Would be interesting to analyze that show from a mens perspective.

The hosts are hilarious and really balance each other out. They review awesome movies and connected me to a lot I have never seen before or haven’t seen in a long time. Really like how in-depth they get on these movies while also cracking me up. One movie to consider: Jackie Brown. Loved the...Read full review »

Discovered this show via TBGWT, a few weeks back. So grateful for the distraction during this chaotic time. Very thoughtful & hilarious commentary. Excited to go back & listen to old episodes... & also anxiously awaiting new ones. Thank you guys!

Somehow these guys are under the impression that a man behind one of the worse bills to hurt African-Americans and referred to black schools as “jungles” isn’t racist. They’re movie smart but politically stupid. Like profoundly, mind-boggling politically stupid.

I listened to the first few minutes of your podcast and could not believe how disgusting you were towards Kamala Harris. I was shocked, surprised and disappointed.Even if you were joking, it was gross. No wonder black woman maintain that black men are some of their harshest critics.

I’m really glad I found this podcast since the other movie review podcasts with black hosts were just not working out for me. I love how funny and socially aware these guys are. I found this through hearing Jay on the Supporting Characters podcast. Excellent discussions on current political topics and black centric films that most podcasts do not cover. I enjoy the shows even as a middle aged white guy, not the target audience.

I was directed to this podcast a few years ago by a coworker who knows how much I hate Tyler Perry movies. I listened to the Temptation review (never watched the movie) and I was HOOKED! Definitely listen with headphones if you’re at work.
