Thank you for being REAL! It’s so refreshing to have one’s thoughts out in the open. As a blk person, there is no time like the NOW to speak up and say how we REALLY feel. As you always say UNAPOLOGETIC. I’ve learned so much from you all and your guest speakers. Keep it up!

The timely and overdue addressing of issues of race and politics is covered by these hosts with fresh perspectives and obvious chemistry. It’s great to see Canadian content at this level and looking forward to Season 3.

It has been fantastic to discover this podcast. It fills the void with content that speaks to Black people & People of African descent living in Canada. The range of topics of the podcasts I have listened to really speak to things I am curious about -- Respectability Politics, Sports,...Read full review »

I am thrilled this podcast has returned for a second season. You provide the content and sophisticated analysis that mainstream media fail miserably to provide. I listen consistently, share widely and quote frequently. Thank you!

I love this podcast! I was looking for a podcast focused on Canadian issues or international issues but using a Canadian lens (many podcast tend to be US-centric) and most importantly one a black person would relate to. As black woman based in Ottawa, this has been a great find!

Great job at unpacking issues that really pisses us off. It’s well said and encourages me to give zero f*ck about white sensibilities and the ever long battle on how we should be treated and what we deserve.

In Canada where we are still so behind in conversations about race, this show is a lifeline. We are so behind in comprehensive and real discussions on race that it is like living in a false utopia where your suffering is ignored for the sake of the fantasy.

Black tea is simply tea that comes as black as possible. If you are black and want to be informed, it definitely is your kind of tea _ literally your cup of tea. Being black and a newcomer to Canada, Black Tea gives me so much insight and perspective into relevant issues in real time. Andray...Read full review »

I’m not sure if I like the easy to listen to 30 minute length or I want greater detail and length. It’s nice to hear a perspective outside of my little world. Thanks. Not sure what the rules are but beeping certain words is distracting. Either ask guests not to swear or just let it go unedited...Read full review »

I love the show. It encompasses a lot of my thoughts, and ignites even more ways of thinking about my blackness... especially when it comes to living in Canada.

Smart, brilliant, engaging, funny! I knew that Andray is funny- he just is; and I knew that Melayna was funny, but I didn’t know that Melayna was that funny! Exactly what’s needed. Thank you. D!ONNE Renée

As a pasty white newf I may not be in the target audience but I have learned more about what our black community has to go through in 3 episodes then I have in the rest of my life put together. It's funny, engaging, thought provoking, eye opening and has quickly become one of my favorite...Read full review »
