“This is the saddest and most unfair case I’ve heard yet of an abused woman being mistreated by our justice system. Reminds me of the Nikki Addimando case, but this case is even more open and shut! The man’s own family says he was controlling and abusive and they don’t blame Deven for killing him. The detective in this case is not very bright and is a product of our sexist culture. Alexis is obviously lying — physical evidence, as well as the testimony of the man’s father, as well as text messages prove she is lying in her interview, yet the detective believes her?? Ridiculous!! Poor Devin. I hope this podcast gets her a better lawyer to get her out of jail where she never should have been put. So sad!!”
