Did I finally find some sanity?
I left the U.S. three years ago and the country from afar has increasingly seemed off-kilter, shriller, more unstable… heading for a nervous breakdown. I try not to follow the constant social media outrages, but it’s difficult to shut off. Even reputable news sources chase this stuff for clicks, and seem to avoid offering a balanced approach. Americans seem unable to view the world NOT through the partisan lens of “sides” and good/evil. This started fomenting years ago, but certainly Trump, and then Covid hit it out of the park.
