Journalists are Excellent, Fans So-So
I really rate this podcast for discussion of all aspects of the Reds: pre-game, post-match, interest pieces, and interviews. I do have to say that the podcasts with the Echo staff and other journalists (including Paul Wheelock's discussions with journalists who cover our opponents) are a head and shoulders above the fan-based podcasts. I tend to listen to the beginning and end of the post-game podcasts (that's the James Pearce report and the clip from Jurgen Klopp's press conference) because hearing what fans have to say just after a match is often not interesting. And the Allez Les Rouges crowd tends to be too parochial and insular; I stopped listening to those editions about the third time I heard them proclaim that somebody "wasn't a real fan" if they either did or didn't do whatever those guys thought was right. But Paul Wheelock, Ian Doyle, James Pearce, Kristian Walsh and Paul Gorst (how tall is he, really?) are excellent.Read full review »

The content is good but the sound quality is terrible. Can only hear the host clearly and not the rest of the panel. Get them to speak into the mic..

If you are going to release this regulally, might be an idea to check the audio quality, as it is very poor. Also maybe keep your phones on silent for the 30 minutes of the pod.

Not the brightest sparks on the block but they’re journalists after all - selected to toe the party line and not capable of thinking out of the box.
