This podcast used to be good but now they do all their shows on YouTube first, and they take several days (up to a week) before they upload their shows as a podcast. Basically trying to force you to watch their YouTube shows.

Mike singer and Tim Hyde never miss. they bring it each and every episode with no filler. Singer is on top of recruiting and breaks it down like nobody else. Goolsby is great = love his perspectives and his opinions. His no nonsense approach gets right to the point. and Tyler Horka is always...Read full review »

I’ve listed to this show for a long time, and while I believe Tim gives great insight, Mike has become unbearable to listen to. He constantly talks down to and patronizes ND fans. Every show he gets on the same soapbox, talking about how dumb all ND fans are and it just takes away from the...Read full review »

I will still give the show 5 stars because I know the guys work hard at their craft. However, I’m disappointed in all of the explicit language and almost boasting about it. I don’t think Lou would have ever tolerated the show to go this direction. Tim brings it! Mike S needs to let Tim talk, stop...Read full review »

Whoever Goolsbey is he must have a high ph because he sounds like a douche bag. Rips a writer for speaking in absolutes as if he doesn’t understand the intended meaning then speaks in absolutes in the next comments. What a joke how he treats people who gives the company money. There’s a strong...Read full review »

The show has gone downhill since the days of Lou S. No longer a sports site. More of rumor and gossip.

Mike is getting better and better at podcasting I don’t miss an episode anymore

Great episode just like many of them that you guys put out there! Enjoyed the banter especially on this episode because it is refreshing that you tackled and discussed tough topics QB transfers, Buchner and Hartman scenarios. Hard to say what will go down but, I appreciate the multiple...Read full review »

Don’t really get some of the bad reviews. Not sure if it’s just homers for some of the other podcast or what. Really enjoy all of the contributors and their interactions with each other. You can tell Mike Singer puts alot of time into his work. What really drew me into Blue and Gold was the Mike...Read full review »

Needs way less Ashton Pollard and way more Mike Goolsby. Getting harder and harder listen.

Inexperienced group (especially compared to their direct counterparts) that offer a lot of fluff and click bait along with useless articles and talking pints. Don’t waste your time. Try Irish Illustrated or Irish Breakdown for better content

Lack of preparation leads to a disorganized presentation. The content is reasonably good and timely, but often gets needlessly off track with silly sidebars. I hope they can tighten it up, Lou’s legacy deserves it. Jersey Shore Jim

The latest pod with Mike Singer was awful. Clearly he was on a phone - I get that. But it was poor. Do it right or don’t do it. I turned off after 5 mins.

Listening to a woman try and discuss mens sports is like fingernails on a chalkboard. We all know every man can’t wait to hear what women think about Notre Dame football. If I want to listen a woman and her opinions, I’ll listen to a podcast about how to cook and clean. When I’m listening to a...Read full review »

The more Goolsby the better. Like his perspective as a former big time player.

Brian Driscoll is the reason I gave up listening to BGI. Upon his departure I gave this show another go. Unfortunately, it’s just not worth it anymore when there are so many other great ND podcasts. It was a bright spot when Goolsby was not in the past couple of weeks, but his return makes this...Read full review »

Always informative and entertaining—a must listen for any ND diehard. Love the hosts, guest interviews, and feel.

I love Goolsby and Lou! Both do a great job breaking down the game for us armchair quarterbacks. With that being said, the nasally sounding host that consistently berates some of the fan’s negative comments is super irritating. I get it—some fans are over the top with their comments, but can you...Read full review »

Goolsby is the worst ,,,, like listening to the drunk guy in the bathroom stall after a game . Poor vocabulary and is all over the place . They miss Brian and Lou . Those 2 were the best together. Goolsby retire please .

I’ve been a fan of BGI for 5+ years now and haven’t missed an episode since the start of my subscription. Back to the Driskell and Lou days which I know most listeners do not miss. Since then, I’ve noticed a consistent decline in production and content of the podcast. Mike Singer has turned...Read full review »

What was going on with the 9/10/2020 podcast? Can Lou or Patrick please silence your phone? Beside the constant dinging throughout the podcast and poor sound quality Patrick’s energy level practically put me to sleep while I was listening at the gym. Blue and Gold Illustrated is better than this.

Goolsby is a rising star in the podcast game. There’s a reason they call him The Great One. Lou’s ND Football memory is the best in the biz and helps set up Gools nicely. Singer adds solid ad reads and helps to bring Mike back on topic during his hilarious rants.

I think this team works well together. I think Goolsby has grown into his role really well. Great job guys!

I listened to this podcast all of once before Singer came around because Driskell is a chode. However Singer and Engel are great on the beat and I look forward to more from them and Lou. Really good recruiting insights too if you’re into that kind of thing.

Mike Singer has blossomed into a great host. I like Patrick. Lou knows everything. Gool is edgy and I don’t mind that but I could see others getting offended regarding COVID talk. I would agree with the sentiment that Gool is minimizing the virus and it’s effects. Lots of people are dying and it...Read full review »

The balance and listenability of the show is off now that Goolsby is part of it. He needs to play less of a role or not be on. He also needs to not act like he knows more than his co-hosts or all the listeners.

Goolsby is a nice addition and has the guts to say things nobody else does. Lou solid as always and singer brings it together. Let’s play football!

We’d all love football to return, especially ND football. However, Goolsby’s positions on this podcast are an embarrassment to all of us who share a diploma with him. Stick to football analysis and away from medical and epidemiological assessments.

Good job guys...somehow this podcast goes down the road of making statements, opinions, conspiracy(ish) comments and using words like “boycotting.” Just gross, Mike. You sure know it all.
