“10/31/2013 I listen to several different of board game podcasts. As a female board gamer, I was excited when I read about this podcast. After listening to four episodes, I’ve determined that it’s just not for me. I am excited about most board games. The “pink pegs” in this podcast are obviously not big fans of games. I get the impression that they are just humoring their husbands by playing games and participating in this podcast. I can see how it could be interesting to men with wives that aren’t interested in games, or maybe even some women that humor their gaming husbands. But as a woman that completely loves all kinds of board gaming, I don’t find it enjoyable to hear other women talk about not liking fantasy themes or games that are too long or complicated, when I like all of those things.
1/6/2014 I am revising my review of this podcast. I made this review after listening to the first four episodes. My initial impression after listening to those episodes was that the pink pegs weren't very interested in games and were just humoring their husbands, but after continuing to listen to more episodes, I realized that that wasn't necessarily the case. While they may not be as devoted to games as thier husbands are or as I am, they do seem to be competetive opponents and do seem to enjoy many of the games they play. I've come to enjoy hearing Christina and Keri's opinions and comments. This podcast has become one of my favorites.
