I listen to a lot of book-related podcasts, but the focus on backlist makes this a real winner for me.

Love these relaxing chats between Pandora and Bobby. What a great premise to discuss older books instead of always obsessing about new ones! The Bridget Jones and High Fidelity was *chefs kiss* and made me want to reread both classic 90s novels. Really love anything Pandora does tbh!

I love everything about this podcast. The deep dive discussions and discovering new (old) reads - an absolute pleasure

I’m a huge book fan and Bridget Jones is one of my all time favourites so when this came up as recommended I thought it was just the thing I needed to distract me from the run I was about to complete. Well it worked a treat; I didn’t even remember running because I enjoyed it so much. I would...Read full review »

As a fan of The High Low, I’m glad to see Pandora is back discussing books and articles. Once again my to-read pile is getting bigger.

This podcast feels like sitting in on your two (very intelligent and witty) friends discussing recent reads with your hands wrapped around a warm mug. I look forward to many more episodes and reading along!

Absolutely loving Pandora and Bobby’s relaxed, funny and insightful conversations on books. It doesn’t matter whether you have or haven’t read the ones they talk about, it makes you want to buy them immediately.

A really lovely podcast! Pandora and Bobby are a joy to listen to. I also really appreciate that the one rule of the podcast is to pick books that are at least two years old. I eagerly anticipate the first of every month when the new episode drops.

I love anything Pandora produces and so had high hopes for this podcast. The quality of analysis is super high but there’s no chemistry between the hosts and so it falls a bit flat for me. Sadly I guess there’s only one Dolly Alderton!

As a previous consumer of both the High Low and Bobby Palmer’s journalism, I was delighted to discover this podcast. Having not read either of the books discussed, I felt part of the conversation and wanted to hear more of Bobby and Pandora’s insights when it was over. Once a month is...Read full review »

What a fabulous podcast concept. I’m going to really enjoy getting these out from my local library each month. Well done Pandora and Bobby for such a warm and comforting first episode!

Love having a new literary pod to listen to that isn’t an endless whirlwind of new releases!

I’m loving this podcast. As someone who wishes they read more, this is a warm and down to earth chat that will open my eyes to some really fascinating books. The Tales of the city series particularly sparked my interest, so will definitely go on and read. Thank you Pandora and Bobby. Great...Read full review »

Such a good concept and great hosts. Feels like I’m chatting with two friends about books I’ve loved (or haven’t read yet) over a cup of tea. Can’t wait for the next ep!

Absolutely adored this podcast. Interesting and comforting and completely entertaining. Another great podcast from Pandora. Can’t wait for the next episode.

Smart and thoughtful analysis from Bobby and Pandora. Particularly loved the fact that the books they discussed aren’t brand new - so cheaper to buy - and their passion really comes through.

I think the premise of discussing books over two years old is great. They are bound to mention books published more recently than this, but if the main two are two years or more old, then I think that makes it inclusive and affordable. I really enjoyed this, I read the Tales of the City when they...Read full review »

Really nice angle on the subject, interesting chat and great dynamic between the hosts.

Warm and thoughtful and well-researched. It’s really nice to listen to a deep dive about books that takes into account the context too. Ignore that dumb first review - Tales of the City is written in 1978! And Normal people is mentioned only in passing.

This podcast is like a warm hug after a long day or coffee in bed on a Sunday morning. Thought provoking, well crafted book reviews and I really enjoyed the structure of the episode, discussing the themes, likes and what they may have changed. As always, anything Pandora Sykes touches turns...Read full review »

All the books are SOOOO obvious and commercial -they say they’re picking books that are at least 2 years old and supposedly not “hot new releases” ??? Normal people ?? Seriously
