Don't need to be a writer to enjoy
Although nominally about books and advice to writers, the podcast goes well beyond that and is essentially listening in to a conversation between two smart, interesting guys. It's kind of like Car Talk for books. The topics are obviously literary in nature and the pitch is heavily driven towards writers, but you really don't need to be a writer to enjoy it. I'm a bond trader with zero literary aspirations and I listen weekly; it's a quick windows on the literary world and you come away with quite a few laughs and maybe a couple new thoughts. Plus, they cover a wide range of book types so even if you're not a big fan of experimental fiction or very "literary" fiction, you can still find some more accessible recommendations.Read full review »
