Lots of inside jokes, not enough actual content
I like the discussions about the actual books but they spend so much time chortling about personal jokes and references that the podcast doesn't hold my attention. An example: mid way through a pretty decent review of Geek Love, the conversation devolves into who is Itchy and who is Scratchy, if their office building is truly a rectangle and a tired rip into Comic Sans. I am writing this review while they are giggling at all their own jokes and they haven't yet shown any indication that they will return to the book anytime soon. And I do not type very fast. Maybe they tightened things up in more recent episodes? I don't know if I have the energy to listen. They are now talking about fried Oreos.Read full review »
