I feel guilty about writing this, as I used to enjoy this podcast, but with each episode, Jim seems to pause more and to become increasingly incapable of speaking in complete sentences.

I think these guys do a decent job. It’s informative, they’ve done a bit of research and even though Ive read my share about the Universal Monsters and some of the earlier monster stuff I always find something new. The production quality is good, they both have decent mics and I think they work...Read full review »

Sine the closure of the late, great Horroretc podcast I’ve been looking & now I’ve found it! This is the one. Love these movies, love the pace, love the insight.

As someone other a lifelong love of classic horror this podcast naturally appeals to me for the subject matter. But beyond that Jim and Livio as hosts are so much fun to listen with their chemistry, passion for these films and knowledge. It feels like hanging out with cool horror-loving friends...Read full review »

You say Toovor, we say Továr; you say Medford, we (and your cohost) say MeLford; you say Baldersteen, we BalderSTON. You continue to disseminate misinformation, we shake our collective heads.

C’mon, have you never listened to your own recordings? I was so pleased to find a podcast where folks chat about a Bogart horror film, but I’ve had to stop listening as the way the audio drops out every time you pause, so that your sentences are incomplete word salad, makes this a disturbing and...Read full review »

Brilliant summaries and analysis of some classic horror films. I was familiar with the standard Universal Monsters, but looking through these episodes has inspired me to check out some of the lesser known chillers of the 30s and 40s. Never would have sought out “Murders in the Zoo” without this...Read full review »

This podcast has introduced me to great movies that I may have otherwise not considered in the classic horror genre. Great commentary by folks who love the stuff. Keep up the good work!

Great podcast format production and branding. I look forward to every episode. I have seen many, if not all, the films they cover and listening to their insights and critiques let’s me revisit these films again with fresh eyes. I also love the passion and joy shared. Thank you Jim, Livio and Scott.

I’m a bit of a fanatic about classic horror. That said, there are movies from this period, B ( or C) level supposed potboilers, for example, which I’ve just never felt could hold much interest. I was wrong. Listening to this podcast makes me want to revisit these films, makes me want to give them...Read full review »

I’ve been listening to the Borgo Pass regularly for a couple years now and have enjoyed every minute of it. It’s a must listen if you’re a fan of classic horror

Thought it was a decent show at first but as I heard more I realized I just liked the movies they talk about. Not them so much. The Boston dude really has to stop saying Karloff. It sounds like he is clearing something that’s logged in his throat. It’s laughable to hear him try to say that with...Read full review »

This is such a great podcast, they really tell stories about the movies and make them relatable. As a monster kid, the backstories are amazing. I have grown up worshiping these movies and enjoyed them many times, and I have learned so much about them, yet the hosts remind me of so much that I...Read full review »

Listening to this podcast is like hanging out with your best film geek friends. Jim and Scott are awesome companions for a long car ride (although I’d be nervous if I saw Jim on a remote highway.)

One of the best classic horror podcasts out there. The hosts know their stuff and treat the films with respect. Keep the episodes coming.

I’m a huge film buff in general & my obsession started with these movies. Obviously Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolf-Man, etc have been done to death (pun intended), but cool to hear about lesser known films from that era & the host do an excellent done job of giving you background. Highly...Read full review »

Great podcast discussing classic or films of the 30s and 40s. The commentators dis the abject with knowledge, affection and in sight. I love these films myself and really enjoy this podcast. I reccomend it highly to any fans of Boris Karloff and Copany.

I’m loving these shows. I started listening to the Dracula (‘31) podcast on my way to see the movie for the first time at Alamo Drafthouse. You guys have awesome chemistry and I appreciate the depth of research!

I knew nothing about old school classic horror until I stumbled upon this podcast, and wow what a fun lesson in film history. They take you through the behind the scenes tidbits as well as the magic on the screen. So refreshingly unique! Plus great banter!

Borgo Pass is a VAST improvement over some recent entries into the horror podcast game; well structured with much better supplementary sourcing, and good back-and-forth between the hosts. It’s informative for noobs, and an easy listen for old horror geeks like me. You can tell they love the...Read full review »
