Trained in various personality profiling tools with over 20 years of corporate experience spanning industries, Sher-Li Torrey started social enterprise Mums@Work to support women looking at flexible work arrangements. Currently, the Singapore-based career portal supports over 53,000 women. On top of that, Sher-Li launched the annual ‘Singapore’s 40 over 40 inspiring women’ aimed at speaking up against ageism and gender bias faced by women in Singapore.
In this episode, Sher-Li shares her definition of personal resilience as bouncing back from difficulty, asserting that everyone has different thresholds for resilience. That aside, she expresses that the role of social support in the workplace is essential as it provides a sense of community, and offers ideas on workplace sisterhood activities that could add value to gatherings.
