This has been a very prolific podcast, with several shows made available each day. Some have somewhat marginal audio quality, but they do cover a wide variety of interests. No new shows since May 3. I hope that this pause is only temporary.

My dad has a saying, “finer than frogs hair!” Well that’s just what I think of your shows and music in Your programs. Thank you! So much for taking care of these fantastic shows and sharing them.

I love most of the OTR shows that come through this feed. There are enough that I enjoy, that I don’t mind skipping the ones I don’t. I only have two complaints: 1) He periodically puts in a random song (and introduction to the song) before shows. The song rarely matches the age or tone of the...Read full review »

I don't think this is a good podcast for kids

I love listening to these old shows. It's great to have a chance to actually hear the shows my mom and dad talk about enjoying when they were kids. I even like the commercials. It's fascinating to see how much advertising has changed over the years.

My favorite podcast. I love listening to the great old shows all day long. I hardly ever watch tv anymore. Lately though, the shows have been playing too fast and it is irritating and ruining the shows. They all sound so squeaky. I hope you can fix that soon.

For years I'd have half a dozen Old Time Radio podcasts queued up so I could pick and choose which episodes to listen. The best ones would update with a new episode every four or five days. I still subscribe to those podcasts, but I haven't listened to a single one since I found Boxcars711....Read full review »

I love how these and how they don't just focus on a particular genre. Before I started listening, I was pretty much sticking to old time horror and mystery radio shows. But now, thanks to this podcast, I have many favorite shows from many different genres! Keep up the excellent work! And thanks...Read full review »

When I was a child various radio stations in my area gave me a gift. An old dying art form was featured, quite often later on at night, and the joy they spread ignited my imagination for all time. It was a phenomenon called Old Time Radio. For the younger set amongst you, decades ago in the...Read full review »

It always amazes me to see that those who take the time to provide us with such wonderful podcasts as these continue to do so even when not one person has bothered to leave any kind if review, I cannot believe I alone listen to and download this genre of podcast, what in earth is wrong with...Read full review »

I love this podcast, however... I agree that the download times have changed dramatically!!! ( not in a good way) That being said, I love everything else about this podcast. (even the politics) Come on people get over it!!!
Bigirish0821 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/14/11
I agree. Since the format change, download takes forever!

I LOVE this podcast, in part because of the great descriptions and historical info supplied in text for each episode. However, since it changed format to some weird service a couple of months ago, downloading to iPod takes eternity. This is my only issue with this program. Worth the time to...Read full review »

I was introduced to old time radio at the age of 15 by my grandfather. That was over 30 years ago and I still listen to them. Keep up the good work and keep old radio alive!

Give some historical background and context--not political garbage.
MrMoose581 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/06/10
Show intros add nothing to the background of the shows, stars, progucers, writers, etc. Some historical context would be a great addition.
Pismo1 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/29/10
I love these podcasts. These old radio shows were dynamite, much better than some of the stuff on TV now. I'm constantly amazed at how they could make a radio studio sound like a train station. I can't get enough of these. the Adventures of Philip Marlowe and Bob Hope are the best. Grab every one...Read full review »

I originally subscribed to hear Old Time Radio, as I love the genre, but the commericals/political commentary are unnecessary and take away from the work.

Keep them coming
Grateful-Dave via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/24/09
I want to hear old time radio. I do not want to hear the hosts tell EXTREMELY stale political jokes that are not funny, but very offensive. The hosts need to leave their politics out of the program.
RadioWoman via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 07/27/09
Good stories but the commercials, now often at the beginning and end of the podcast, are ugly ! It takes away from the enjoyment and the old time feel and the great feeling of listening to something that is in the public domain and free. The team of H/C seem to be taking over more and more of the...Read full review »

These are great, and a nice change from listening to music all the time. The reason I did not give it 5 stars is that sometimes the volume is too low to hear the dialog when in the car, and also the corny introductions sometimes are very irritating.

There it is! Nothing but the finest programs ever produced. So many shows at one time. What a selection to choose from! A true living history lesson for the taking.
