The best sports podcast out there
Tris Dixon has earned his spurs the hard way as a boxing journalist - his knowledge and understanding of the sport is as good as any journalist anywhere on the world but that only comes from doing the hard yards. With this podcast he has carved out a niche which adds his personality, his passion and his natural curiosity to that knowledge to bring out the best in his guests. I would recommend this podcast to boxing fans who love the sport but also to anyone interested in human behaviour and development. The list of guests includes some of the most recognisable names in the sport and yet sometimes it’s those names that many aside from really hardcore boxing fans would fail to recognise that provide the greatest content. Kathy Duva, Frank Stallone and James Cook are just three that I’ve found surprisingly entertaining and inspiring. My son recently started boxing. The inspiration and learning provided by some of the greatest boxers and trainers of their time - the likes of Andy Lee, Ricky Hatton, Anthony Crolla, Sugar Hill Steward, Adam Booth - as well as lesser known names with inspirational journeys….there is so much for him to take on board and benefit from. Tris sets the standard for everyone else to aspire to when it comes to sport podcasts. He brings out the detail behind the sport but also, the human story, which is almost always inspiring and enjoyable to listen to. For all the quality that exists out there in the podcast market, this is the very best you will find in my opinion.

By a big margin, the best boxing pod I have listened to. Honesty, humour, tough questions. Tris shows through his experience and relationships that honest hard hitting interviews can garner exceptional results. Keep it up

Top class podcast, Shawn Porter one is very good, never heard him speak in depth before. He comes across really well and the Adam Booth one is one of the best sit downs I have heard, keep it up.

Really good stuff. Tris Dixon is more of a guide than an interviewer, allowing the subject to tell their story. Excellent! I’m working through the series, but have really enjoyed the episodes that I have listened to so far.
