“This podcast is the most professional and unbiased content available on boxing anywhere as the hosts have a deep respect for the sport and great admiration for the fighters that put themselves in harm's way for the sake of our entertainment as boxing fans.
They are always willing to ask the sensible and searching questions of their boxing guests whether those are boxing officials, representatives of the sanctioning bodies, promoters, trainers or the boxers themselves.
They are willing to allow the discussions and debates to happen to enable us as fans to hear the thoughts of those being interviewed - so a great podcast to get into the boxing issues that really matter by the guests that do make boxing news happen.
The hosts always deliver high quality content and make a very good pairing as they have both similiar and sometimes opposing views on the goings on of the boxing world.
I do enjoy this podcast as the hosts Alex and Matt are not the stars of the podcast themselves, the difference here is as professional journalists they understand that boxing is the star and really go out and get a great mix of boxing trade people onto the show for the interviews that really matter.
They have both a passion for the sport of boxing whilst also having a practical scepticism of the business of boxing, that despite being a sport that has a tendency to give itself its own black eyes at times, is a great sport with a great history and these gentlemen also respect the history of the sport by looking back to great or controversial fights that have happenend with the section called "this week in history".
So if you are new to boxing - it is also a good way to learn about and soak up the great fights of the past - as well as keep up to date on the present landscape of boxing.
I always look forward to the next episode with interest as to the guests and great boxing characters that the hosts are able to connect ourselves as fans to.
The podcast is an excellent and very worthy companion to the Boxing News trade magazine.
I highly recommend to subscribe to both the pod and the magazine if you are an old or new boxing fan as you will not be disappointed.”Read full review »
