As a lefty I enjoy Krystal’s takes and am interested to see where there is overlap with Saagar, who presents the other side and usually without making me roll my eyes. But I’d rather you not record a Friday show than force me to listen to counterpoints. It just isn’t as good of a show. Hosts have...Read full review »

I loved this show when it started, now it’s becoming mainstream media. Adding Emily and Ryan huge mistake! They are both so far left I can’t listen and I listen to The Daily.

I really love this show, I enjoy both sets of hosts and the sensible left vs right points that each host/the show takes. Sure would be nice if in real life we cared about hearing and understanding each others view points instead of chasing clout on social media and our leaders being obsessed with...Read full review »

Only issue with this show is how bad Counter Points is. Woof.

I do enjoy the show, their commentary is always witty and well thought out. Although I do find it funny, they like to rip on CNN as bad reporting, then follow that up with their own reporting based on articles from CNN lol.

Krystal, please stop banging the table while whining about that which you know nothing. Sagar, run far far away!

K&S are great and give all sides of a story. Guest hosts (Ryan & Emily) seem more left sided.

However I will say, when they find a thing to talk about they talk about it non stop, I.E when Twitter was purchased by Elon, every episode of them convincing us why we should care, another recent one being chat gpt or whatever it's called. Sure it's cool, but the last 4 episodes? Jesus...Read full review »

Breaking Points advertises that they provide a “different” option for listeners outside of the Fox News / CNN echo chamber. While the intentions are noble (and IMO) greatly needed in this dystopian media landscape, their delivery over the past several months (Abolish the Supreme Court! episode,...Read full review »

Used to really enjoy the podcast, and thought this is just what we needed as a nation, people with opposing viewpoints coming together and realizing we ultimately want the same thing, which is a better and more prosperous life for everybody. But slowly I started to realize things were off....Read full review »

I’ve watched these two since their early days on rising and have been major fans ever since. I can no longer stomach the daily pessimistic and frankly uneducated rants from Krystal. She has become a professional hater. I really hope Saager starts his own show. Sorry I do not count the...Read full review »

Including Ryan and Emily to this podcast was a mistake in my opinion. Some Objective opinion is important when there’s evidence that supports it, also offering another perspective but these 2 just continuously trash republicans and praise democrats.
Jr0c25 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/19/23
My only criticism is that Krystal just doesn’t seem to be willing to concede on anything, which is the whole selling point of the objectivity of the show. Seriously, listen to any episode and Saagar will say “that’s fair” or “I’ll give you that” after she says something in contrast to his...Read full review »

I really enjoyed this show back when it first started airing. That being said, I’ve lost a lot of respect for Krystal, and by extension Saagar, over how they’ve turned into establishment media lite. The final straw was Krystal’s rant against the GOP holdouts for the Kevin McCarthy speakership....Read full review »

Show is great. But adding Ryan Grimm definitely affects the credibility of this show as an unbiased source for information.

Sleazy move speeding Ben Shapiro. Tired of the beating on Boomers. This show is awful

Not sure if the show is very good or not. Never really there, when they are there they dedicate their time to begging for money from me. I don’t respect their panhandle business model at all. Work ethic needs work too.

Love the original Breaking Points. Occasional fill-ins with guests are fine when Krystal or Saagar are out, but please separate Breaking Points from Counter Points. Should be able to download each show individually. Shorter length Breaking Points is fine.

I have to say something. Ordinarily this show is my 5/5 news source. I welcome the addition of Ryan and Emily; however I find myself skipping Counterpoints episodes because of how jarring and frustrating Ryan’s stammering is for me to listen to. I don’t have anything against him, his analysis is...Read full review »

If you are going to mention one conspiracy you may as well mention the other one. First reports suggested he had a heart attack. Seems like a lot of young heath people are having heart attacks. Very sad.

This is The View for a podcast-based audience. They aren’t doing investigative reporting and have very staunch pro-Union rhetoric when discussing any current union information they can find. I absolutely love this show. It is a must in my daily routine. Very good sound reporting from Krystal and Saagar. The guests they have on the show are also great.

This is a great, balanced show. I really appreciate most of what is said and the perspectives shared. One thing that really bugs me, however, is Krystal’s oft recited assertion that the US Supreme Court is openly partisan. She never justifies this assertion and Saager never contests the...Read full review »

I enjoy this in my down time but have to listen at arms reach. Overall a good podcast if you’re looking for something more in the middle, especially when Saagar speaks. Krystal on the other hand is unbearable, especially in her monologues. Sometimes I want to rip my ears off.

My brothers told me about this podcast while we were reading a political/economics book. I’ve been a daily listener for over a year. I’ve raved about this podcast to friends that truly need to see both sides of issues. In multiple episodes CounterPoints hosts cite Al Jazeera as a source when it is well established they are Qatar state funded and controlled propaganda with a history of inaccurate and dishonest reporting…

Even when I don’t agree with these two, I know for a fact I am getting well-researched news that really digs deeper. I respect them and their mission so much and I love having such a reliable source of real news, especially when it comes to politics. :)
Rakster124 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/18/22
This is basically the Krystal show pretending to be neutral with a supposedly right leaning person politically but doesn’t challenge or offer one iota of a difference of opinion. It’s almost like he is trying to get her favour.

When this started they would cover all sides including what the main stream didn't want covered and weren’t afraid to ask tough questions. I listen every day, to every episode. Was super excited to have found this show - a republican and democrat coming together to provide an unflinching, unbiased look at national/ world news ?! For Saagar—the “conservative” host—to challenge just one of Krystal’s outrageously biased claims. They play the role of reporting from a “neutral” stance from both left-leaning and right-leaning hosts, but it’s consistently Krystal repeating leftists talking points and Saagar sitting there...Read full review »

So grateful my brother put Rising on my radar years ago, because you two have revolutionized how I think about politics and the media, & I can’t wait for more people to catch on to what you’re building. May it grow and grow and grow. I am massively thankful. Bravo

I have been a fan of this podcast for almost a couple years now, but it’s has taken a unfortunate turn. I really enjoy getting information from this show as it’s more matter-of-fact and less about the culture wars. It also helps challenge some of my views. They are smart & well informed, but the best thing is their honesty - no political hacks here.
