Whether it be books, movies, culture, music, or behind the scenes issues such as producing film, Bret makes me want to read, watch, and listen to more entertainment closely. I'd love to hear an interview with Donna Tartt (how movies don't get made) and Stephanie Danler (how to write in and about New York and Western aesthetic culture in the 2000s). His monologuing is pretentious and vitriolic and not at all based in fact. This podcast is simply a soapbox for him to shout unsubstantiated condescending nonsense about “corporate culture” and “victim culture” and “soft whiny millennials.” If you want a real interview show, look elsewhere.
