Interview with Boris Johnson
I was a regular listener to Politics Without The Boring Bits in which Matt Chorley was both witty & incisive. I have just listened to his interview with Boris Johnson & it was bizarrely unbalanced. I think BJ was a poor PM who lacked any real clarity of purpose in government after Dominic Cummings. At the same time, most of the line of questioning in this interview used the usual BBC tropes about the referendum. Would Keir Starmer face equally challenging questions about his role in undermining the democratic process for so long and misleading so many voters into thinking this was a legitimate course of action to follow? I say this as a former Labour voter who has no natural political home any longer. I rarely listen to BBC political programmes because of their obvious bias. I wonder if the “robustness” in this interview will ever be matched in interviews with former Remain supporters who continue to misrepresent the nature of the EU. The political preferences of a national broadcaster shouldn’t be so obvious.

Honestly, this is the best thing to come out of Brexit so far. Insightful and entertaining, it provides analysis from both sides of the channel that even a Merthyr Tydfil troglodyte like me can understand

Well done both, I love your relaxed style, humour and attention to detail. It's really interesting to hear about the inner workings of the EU, but in a different tone. Keep it up!Read full review »
