The c.15min episodes are easy to keep up with and the tone is spot on - deconstructing the headlines with honesty, brevity and humour. The hosts are top notch companions throughout the process and the well-chosen guests understand the spirit of the show and perform well every time, sharing a joke alongside their expert analysis. People who want a more serious tone and deeper analysis have News at Ten and Newsnight. This is a different offer - lighter, engaging and interesting. I think it nails its place in the spectrum of the BBC’s offer. Mariana does a great job in a difficult sphere too - respect to her, and all the team.”
