“Brian Houston is an amazing speaker and resource for God and it defintiely shows here. I went to the Hillsong Conference this year and experienced his teachings firsthand, he truly is a fantastic speaker and God has called him to do remarkable things. Hillsong is the biggest and greatest collection of Christians in the nation and it is easy to see why - God has blessed them with the resources to really make a difference in this world. There may be naysayers here, but you'll find them anywhere you go, and by the power of Jesus Christ we can overcome all things, and some misguided opinions on an iTunes podcast are irrelevant. First off, getting your brain "washed" in the power of Jesus Christ is fantastic and this is God's calling for us. Second, Hillsong isn't designed to solely make ppl "feel good about themselves", however they do encourage people to listen to the Holy Spirit and live out God's calling and plan for them. Faith without action is dead, and this church is extremely vocal about being practical in doing God's works. If they have a passion and a fervour for Jesus greater than you, who are you to judge? Perhaps you could take a shot at experiencing some of the real joy and truth found in Jesus for youself.
God has blessed these leaders with a vision and they are doing amazing things. At the Hillsong Conference hundreds of people rededicated themselves to God's cause or came to Him for the first time. As Jesus said himself, I am the vine and you are the branches. The branches which do not bear fruit are cut off and thrown into the furnace. Hillsong and the work they are doing for furthering God's Kingdom is incredible and definitely fruitful for the cause of Jesus, and as for the few pharisees who question what they are doing, those would be the branches who are not yielding fruit. There are many traditionalistic churches who have forsaken Jesus and neglect the peace, joy and life that He instills across the earth. Thats why so many young people are depressed and turning away from God. I would know, I was one of them. This church is seeking to do the opposite and are doing incredible things for God - and this podcast is just another resource God has blessed them with. I encourage all who are curious to check it out and formulate your own opinions on how Hillsong is revolutionising Christianity across the nation. We are on the brink of a fantastic revival for Jesus and this church and its resources are on the forefront of it. As for me, Hillsong has allowed me to reconnect with Jesus and find hope, joy, peace, and so much more in an incredible way. I highly recommend this podcast, along with all of Hillsong's resources as a tool to grow closer in your walk with Jesus our Lord.”Read full review »
