Always an excellent podcast with fantastic insight. ——— My formative years watching Formula 1 came in the late 90s & early 2000s. The sport was rife with bullish manufacturers and team combos at that time, something you’ve noted specifically in some episodes. McLaren and Williams had powerful engines in Mercedes and BMW respectively and a winning pedigree to match, but the likes of Ford, Honda, Toyota and the various teams associated with them (Jaguar, BAR, Jordan) all flattered to deceive. In retrospect, who was at the time the the team and pairing that each of you had a hunch about being the eventual derailment of the Ferrari juggernaut before the Renault/Alonso combination finally managed it in ‘05? Please paraphrase if too long! All the best and continue the amazing work, Patrick Hodgen.

Anyone can research an historic f1 story but these chaps also add anecdotes and rarely heard stories behind the results of historic f1. Their enthusiasm really shine through, “very very much so” as Ed would say.

As a new F1 fan, this show is a great show to learn more about the history of the sport. Awesome job!

Superb podcast by everyone involved, from an era of F1 that I grew up in and loved! How about a podcast on the fall of Lotus? I remember in ‘94 they bolted a new engine on in Monza which was a rocket ship, shame Herbert retired at the first corner!
