“I almost bailed on this podiobook but I'm glad I didn't.
I wasn't sure if this was supposed to be a comedy or a horror story at first...I mean, are people that stupid that they can't figure out how to walk down the steps or find alternate ways out of the mall? It was unreal...and I was starting to get annoyed at all those idiots stuck on the second floor.
Luckily, Christopher Munroe is an enthralling storyteller with a real talent for voice acting, and that kept me tuned in through some of the most unbelievable parts.
I'm glad I stayed with the story, because the last couple of chapters were a surprise that were well worth sticking around for.
Christopher is very good at painting vivid pictures with his words...I could see the scenes he described in detail...and they were terrifying!
I enjoyed this story a great deal...it helped my workday go by much faster :)
I had to deduct a star because of the audio issues...the volume level isn't consistent throughout, and because I wear earbuds in a noisy environment, I have to turn the volume up to be able to hear the quiet portions over the loud machinery...only to be rendered nearly deaf by a sudden volume increase.
Other than that, this is a very entertaining story. Funny at times, scary, gory and suspensful...but satisfying!”
