I listened to all three seasons of Revisionist History in about 3 months. I loved them. Some more than others, but I was hooked. The topics, the storytelling, the interviews, the historical footage, the music and overall production. I cared about and was interested in these topics. I wanted to know more. Malcolm’s curiosity fueled mine. It was infectious. When the final season ended, I was eager to see what was next. Broken Record was referenced and I was excited. Hearing the teaser, I hit pause with 1:30 to go and said out loud. “Disappointing.” It was shallow, hollow and dialed in. It was a sales piece for the artist. A promotion. I am sure the reaction I felt must have been common to lead to no actual series. The IDEA is great. Wonderful. Execution was poor.

I like music a lot less having heard this. On the plus side, there’s a lot less of it than there could be.
