I learned in this podcast that career development isn’t a discussion just meant for an employment interview, it needs to be an ongoing conversation. Most importantly, I heard this conversation as a two way street, you as the employee can evolve into a new role and ask for training, right alongside managers being supported, in fact, rewarded, for staying ahead of the conversation proactively and creating a training plan with all team members.
