Lots of amazing guests
The 4-5 episodes I’ve chosen to listen to so far have all have very good information from the guest speakers that really know their stuff. However, three issues affect this podcast: 1. The sound quality of the speakers. I know these are busy people that don’t have much time, but I REALLY want to understand what they’re saying, and in one episode I’ve listened to the same 15 minutes 4 times now because he’s talking from his cell phone and it’s impossible to get all the information and stay engaged when it’s so hard to hear. If you have to mail them a microphone kit with a prepaid return envelope and they can record over a different conferencing program that offers excellent sound quality, do that. 2. The ads volume is TOO loud. I blow out my ears every time an ad randomly comes in without warning. That’s not good. Please normalize the volume of your ads to the podcast. 3. The host has a good attitude, but often makes comments/jokes that fall flat. Keep asking the right questions and let them talk, you have one of the most informative podcasts there is. Don’t let bad jokes get in the way, and if there’s something you don’t know, just tell the guest speaker instead of guessing. Thanks for the awesome podcast, I’ll keep listening!

Alex gets it... He has this uncanny knack of giving people exactly what filmmaking/screenwriting what they really need. There are so many “knowledge bombs” in each episode. A must listen!

Listened to Joe Cornish episode and the host was woefully underprepared - didn’t know much about the guest or his work, kept calling his film ‘Attack of the Block,’ got confused about Iron Man. Interview was a mess. Do some research!
