Professional, Funny and Enlightening
The guests on SOYA are top-notch, genuinely funny and creative people (Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, Chris Elliot, Louis CK as well as people who make comics, music and books that are humorous and offbeat) and Jesse's interview style is smooth, informed and professional. Rarely at a loss for words, he does his homework and asks knowledgeable, interesting questions. Whomever said he's "trying to be funny" is completely off-base. I don't find that at all; he's humorous but doesn't try to "out-funny" the comedians. The crew-produced comedy bits are full of delightful humor without being overwhelming or heavy-handed.
