Post-Meta-Podcasting at its Finest
In a move of exponentially increasing in "irony," Matt Cohen has launched yet another podcast-deconstructing-podcast that, like an existential fireman operating The Jaws of Life, stretches open the chasm at the center of twenty-first century global culture: what is pop? What is culture? What is media? Why ANY of this? This is a podcast-qua-podcast nominally centered around the question of what a podcast even is, but it is much less than that, brought to you by one of folks who was there at the beginning of the podcast-age. Now Matt Cohen is doing an unexpected turn as both himself and a VERY convincing impersonation of the theoretical-podcaster-star-par-excellence, Macaulay Culkin, the quintessential global icon who questions his own having-anything-to-say-ness more than you. One day, in some rural American town, some poor, brilliant sap suffering through some top-tier English doctoral program will write a chapter on this podcast. And then when your kids will write a holo-essay about it in their 2053 Freshman Comp course, won't you want to be able to say you were there, listening, from the get-go?Read full review »

I started following this podcast after reading about it on Reddit, and it’s great! I was never really into podcasts, but this one is a lot of fun to listen to. So yeah, 5/5 recommend.
