I came to this podcast from Robin Piersons awesome „History of Byzantium“ - and what a disappointment! This podcast is right in line with the way history is taught today: From the perspective of peasants, outcasts and other losers. No kings, emperors, generals, battles and intrigues... That the reason why everyone is watching Game of Thrones and is listening to podcasts from amateurs. Defund the Academy!

Anthony Kaldellis is a great byzantinist! And this podcast is a wonderful tool for a student of the medieval west, such as myself, to get to know the byzantine world. Much recommended.
