an excellent and insightful podcast
I love the insightful and nuanced conversations about Byzantine history, as well as the connections to today’s scholarship/how we see Byzantium today that are being drawn. I am a not a historian but someone who is simply interested in Byzantine history, and finally there’s a good and enjoyable way of going beyond the more general history books I’ve read, without it being so hermetic that I as a layperson get lost, which happened to me when I tried reading articles in academic journals. I am really enjoying this podcast because it comes in and fills exactly that gap. Thank you!!! PS: So what ABOUT that open question in episode 75? I for one did notice that I was left hanging there … .
