I wanted to like this but gave up for a long time after an early show in which they talked at length about Aminatou’s interview with RBG and then— in the same episode!!! repeatedly talked about “old people,” using the phrase in a bizarrely derogatory way (re: inability to use technology in a savvy way), even saying “ugh, old people should just die out already.” I mean— what?! The immaturity and need to talk about smoking pot was not my jam. I have listened here and there since then— the show evolved a bit and they grew up— and I appreciate a lot of the folks they’ve interviewed. As a queer woman who actually hates the word “girlfriend” in that straight context, I’m clearly not the mainstream target “girlfriend” audience anyway.

It's like getting two brilliant, hilarious, aesthetically RIGHT ON women comb the internet obsessively and tell me each week what happened. A critical service!Read full review »
