“Lots of necessary trigger warnings would be useful to know prior to listening, including animal-torture/harm, rape, child-rape harm, all of which are graphically discussed, such that I couldn’t make it through the first episode—and I regularly binge true crime podcasts!
The discussion of animal harm/rape was particularly disturbing. Ppl should know this before engaging w this kind of content bc it’s not really apparent from the shows description. It’s nauseating and horrific, and just didn’t feel like it was approached w the sensitivity these topics need.”

But around episode 3 they start having actors read court transcripts of people describing the specifics of the sexual abuse they endured as kids. It’s pretty awful.
