Funnier than a Life Day cooking show!
This is hands-down the best actual play tabletop RPG podcast I’ve ever listened to. I’ve been playing a lot of FFG’s Star Wars RPG lately, but that’s really not why I love this podcast. Actually, I usually listen to actual play to get a sense for how an unfamiliar system works, and on top of that these guys don’t even always represent the system perfectly (they’re still not completely over calling Threat “disadvantages”). Not a huge deal because most groups don’t play RPGs 100% by the book anyways. But I digress. What I really want to highlight is how amazingly entertaining these guys are. The story is great, and everyone on this show is a phenomenal roleplayer. They’re really, really adept in their characters’ skins. The show’s also hilarious; this stuff rivals some of my group’s funniest moments almost on a weekly basis despite the fact that I’m not even playing in their game. But I’m glad I’m given the chance to be an audience to it. There’s nothing like laughing hysterically to put you in a great mood on your commute to work.

An excellent companion to the One Shot podcast, but also a terrific stand-alone series. Campaign is a hilarious podcast that follows a consistent role-playing group playing an ongoing adventure in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire. It’s not quite as silly/out there as One Shot tends to be, but what...Read full review »
